We are seeking a highly skilled Tactical Procurement Manager to drive tactical procurement activities from new introduction (NPI) through decline, ensuring seamless supply chain integration. The Tactical Procurement Manager directs and controls activities so incoming Supply Lines of Parts, Components, and Assemblies enable 3DS Plastics Hardware production. This manager will work with production, planning, engineering services, quality, and warehouse Receivables to maintain optimal inventory levels to meet production demands and business objectives.

- Lead a team of buying professionals collaborating within the supply chain function and with production, including R&D, logistics, finance, etc.
- Establish and enforce Oracle-based order policies and procedures to ensure on-time delivery and meet monthly production targets.
- Drive efficiencies by increasing the utilization of Oracle.
- Assess and implement the most cost-effective strategies to ensure Continuity of Supply.
- Reduce expedited freight costs by 20% YOY through process improvements.
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations (REACH, ROHS, TSCA, WEEE, CalProp 65 etc.).
- Ensure that commodity strategies are executed by the designated key suppliers of each commodity by supporting work with engineering services and the assigned strategic sourcing manager.
- Establish the process for optimizing inventory levels that best utilize Cash-use goals through the implementation of efficient replenishment programs (such as VMI or Consignment programs).
- Recruit, Evaluate, and Retain qualified resources to accomplish functional goals and objectives.
- Ensure all 3DS Systems company-required training is completed in a timely manner and that plans are in place and updated for backup/coverage during personnel time off.
- Develop and leverage relationships with internal customers through open communication and follow-up.
- Create and drive Continuous Improvement programs utilizing Lean/Six Sigma methodologies and practices.
- As requested for Best Practice, ensure that the requested cost details and benchmark information are gathered when asked to perform RFQs.
- Collect and interpret Supplier performance data (Delivery and Quality/Warranty) to take immediate corrective action and partner with Strategic Sourcing to prevent substandard supplier performance.
- Complete required reports timely and accurately.
- Use notes or guidance from your conversation with the Hiring Manager (HM) in the Req Qualification Stage to explain thoroughly what the candidate will do.
What You Will Bring
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business or Engineering
- Strong systems experience and capabilities, including MRP/ERP systems (prefer Oracle) and Excel.
- 5 years of management experience within a high-volume manufacturing environment
- 10 years of experience working with materials at mid- to large-sized industrial companies, including prior experience leading work teams.
- Excellent people skills with the ability to influence and collaborate among multiple functional stakeholders.
- Prior experience in managing change and implementing new processes.
- Customer focus, high energy, and proactive approach to solving issues.
- APICS and/or CPM/CPSM certification
- Green Belt or Six Sigma certification
- Planning/forecasting capabilities; experience in production control, forecasting, master scheduling, and Lean initiatives
