Description

Systemic Bio is a 3D Systems subsidiary based in Houston, TX, focused on the development of human vascularized organ and disease models to be used for drug discovery and development. Founded in August 2022 with a $15M seed investment from its parent company, Systemic Bio is using its proprietary bioprinting and organ-on-a-chip technology to accelerate drug development timelines, increase clinical trial success rates, and eventually put an end to animal testing.

As a Research Associate, you will:

Work with the Systemic Bio team to develop and test new products pertaining to our organ-on-a-chip platform

Test and improve product workflows

Run cell-based experiments that validate the function of organs and diseases developed with our technology

Qualifications

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in biology, bioengineering or relevant area of scientific research;

Experience with design, execution, and analysis of diverse cell biology and tissue engineering experiments;

Strong written and verbal communication skills;

Extensive experience documenting, analyzing, interpreting experimental data;

Excellent organizational skills;

Experience with 3D bioprinting preferred, but not required.

Skills:

2+ years of mammalian cell culture;

3D culture systems;

L/D, IHC, RT-qPCR, Flow analysis, and ELISA;

Fluorescence and confocal microscopy
